President of West Point Thoroughbreds, Inc., a racing partnership management company he founded in 1991, Terry Finley leverages over 20 years of accumulated institutional knowledge to guide his management decisions to better position his clients for success. His passion for racing ignited as a youngster while attending races with his father. While serving in the military, Finley incubated his business plan to provide unique emotional lifestyle experiences, enabling people of modest means to compete at the highest levels of horse racing. Finley grew the company from two investors and a $5,000 claiming horse in 1991 to over 500 investors and more than 80 horses typically under management. West Point horses consistently compete in the stakes and allowance levels, and he has overseen the development of six horses into Grade One winners and dozens of stakes winners. West Point runners compete in elite races including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont and Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

With a value system influenced heavily by his father and the U.S. military, Terry Finley is a model of ethical behavior and determination. A former Army Ranger, captain, and West Point graduate, he seeks advisors and hires employees with proven professional credentials and demands the same ethics and standards from them.  Business transparency is vital in securing trust and credibility with clients in accounting, communications, and operations, because clients rely on the managing entity to care for their animals and investments.

West Point utilizes top trainers and advisors including Todd Pletcher, H. Graham Motion, Tom Albertrani, Mike Hushion, Dale Romans, Dallas Stewart, Mark Casse, Craig Dollase, John Sadler, and Kip Elser.

Mr. McMahon grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY where he worked on his family's farm, McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds. Following his graduation from Cornell University in 1993, Mike began his career in the horse industry with a visit to the Keeneland January sale and a job at Slew's Nest Farm. Impressed by the size, scope and international flavor of the Thoroughbred market in KY, he travelled to England as a groom and applied to the Irish National Stud, which he completed in 1994.

Following a summer with Hall of Famer Scotty Schulhoffer's Stable in Saratoga, Mike moved to Kentucky and worked for Robert Courtney's Crestfield Farm. After a 5-year stint at EQUIX Biomechanics, where he served as Vice President and helped to develop the company's popular stride analysis program, Mike founded his own business, McMahon Bloodstock LLC.

In the 10 years since, the firm's loyal customers have raced, bred and sold 94 stakes horses including 35 Graded Stakes horses, and NY's first KY Derby winner Funny Cide. This success has occurred despite the fact that the agency has one of the lowest average purchase prices ($59,000) of any major bloodstock agency. Two innovative offerings define the agency's upfront dealings. "Bourbon Lane Stable" offers new owners the opportunity to participate in professionally managed racing partnerships with no markup. The weekly "Bottom Line" quickly became one of the most popular innovations of the 2011 breeding season, selling more than 100 seasons in the 2011 breeding season.

Mike is married to Natanya Nieman DVM. The couple have two children Madison and Aidan, and live on Winstar Farm, where Natanya is the resident veterinarian.

Byron Rogers spent eight years at Arrowfield Stud in Australia as Stallion Nominations and Bloodstock Manager, part of the team that developed the careers of leading sires Redoute’s Choice, Flying Spur and Danzero. Byron played an integral part in the relocation of leading Chilean sire Hussonet as well as planning matings for leading racehorses such as Miss Finland, Mentality, Fashion’s Afield, Sunday Joy, Royal Purler, Miss Bussell, etc

Byron extended his industry experience at Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky, where for three years he served as director of their stallion division, managing the careers of the likes of Unbridled’s Song, Forestry, Officer, Forest Danger, Northern Afleet and Southern Image as well as joint venture stallions Tiznow and Speightstown. In 2008, Byron returned to Australia to accept the newly-created post of national sales manager for William Inglis and Son, Australia’s leading Thoroughbred sales company. In 2009, Byron resigned from this position to concentrate on Pedigree Consultants and their associated companies. Byron has written numerous articles for Owner-Breeder International, TBH MarketWatch and The Australian Bloodhorse Review. He co-authored Great Thoroughbred Sires of the World. Byron is a co-developer and part owner of the pedigree rating system TrueNicks.

Jerry Walker, Brandywine Stables, LLC provides racing and breeding partnerships focusing on modestly priced horses that can compete favorably in state-bred programs.  These partnerships are designed primarily for two types of owners:

1) New or prospective owners that want to start in the business by delegating responsibility for selecting and managing the racehorse to an experienced, professional manager while they are learning more about the details of the business.

2) More experienced owners that want to participate on a limited basis without taking full responsibility for selecting and managing the racehorse. 

Brandywine partnerships are structured as Indiana Limited Liability Companies (LLC’s) with Brandywine Stables owning 25% interest and three other members, each owning 25% interest.

During more than 40 years in the horse business, Jerry has served in many leadership positions in various equine-related organizations including Chairman, Indiana Horse Racing and Breeding Coalition; President, Indiana Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Assn.; President, Indiana Horse Council; President, Indiana Horse Council Foundation; and Chair, State Horse Council Advisory Committee of the American Horse Council. 

Jerry is the recipient of several awards including the American Horse Council Van Ness Award, Honorary Indiana Commissioner of Agriculture and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association's Indiana Breeder of the Year.
